Interviewer: You beat out Trent Reznor and Pete Wentz for the Sex God award. What makes you sexier than those guys?
Gerard: Hahahahaha. I can't honestly say what makes me sexy. I don't feel very sexy. That whole part of it is weird; seeing yourself, a recovering drug addict and alcoholic, on the cover of Teen Beat... It doesn't make any sense. I am who I am. There's no façade... and being voted sexiest doesn't concern me. Maybe that's the sexy part. Stab wounds are sexy to me, though.
Interviewer: You know the guys from the Strokes are probably super concerned they didn't win this year.
Gerard: Hahahaha! They are kind of sexy, though.
Interviewer: I bet they're upset they were usurped by an up-and-comer.
Gerard: No one likes the new kid in school. Because he smells weird and has a penchant for leather and the homoerotic.

Frank on proposing to Jamia
Frank: I tried to [propose to Jamia] really smooth, I - we were recording actually, The Black Parade out in Los Angeles and there's a road called Mulholland Drive, where you can kind of oversee the entire city. And there's a park, but when I took her up there it was really late so it was closed, so it was really on the side of a dirt road. Kinda like in a gutter, and, uh... but it was fitting, she was exicted and I was happy.
Interviewer: Who cried? Did you cry? Did she cry?
Frank: Nah, I think she just laughed at me.

Interviewer: Jay-Z name-checks MCR in a song on his new album.
Mikey: Yeah! That's so bizarre! Check this out, I got an e-mail from Pete Wentz, he goes, "Jay-Z just name-checked you!" I go, "No way!" He says, "Yeah, download this song right now." And I did, and I couldn't believe it. He says it twice! My Chemical Romance and the Black Parade! I mean, it was so surreal. He's my favorite rapper, so it's super, super ironic. It's weird, a lot of rappers like our band. The Game likes our band. He's one of my friend's neighbors, and he's been over at the house before and I've met him. And I know Lil' Jon likes our band, he came back to a hotel party once after a show and hung out!
Interviewer: I love how you tried to tell me a minute ago that you don't do anything interesting after shows.
Mikey: Well, once in a while something like that happens.
